Summer School in Utrecht
The perfect way to pay for my Cambridge Summer School was to host a summer school myself.
And so I did.
The summer school was part of a dynamic short courses week at cultural centre Parnassos in Utrecht.
There was a photography course, a singing course, a soul choir course, a music composition course, and then there was my class.
It was such a fun week.
In such a short course it’s nice if you can focus on a theme.
I chose to focus on ‘Drawing the City’ and planned all kinds of fun city activities.
We went urban sketching, made city maps, tried some character design, based on the city people we met during our sketch excursion, and also tried our hand at some guerrilla art (with many many thanks to Rotslab for lasercutting our stencils).
Have I mentioned I love teaching?
Two famous peeps in my class!
